The Department of Mathematics at UOK, Kotli, AJ&K, was established in 2014. The first intake of the M.Sc program was inducted in the Spring 2014. In the Fall 2014, the Department launched its BS program. The M.Phil program was launched in the Fall 2021 and PhD program was launched in the Fall 2022.

Vision: The Mathematics Department offers a broad and challenging academic program that supports the mission of the University of Kotli and the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences. We aim to provide high-quality education in undergraduate and graduate mathematics, meeting the needs of a diverse student body and state population.

Mission: The Department of Mathematics aims to produce quality graduates and nurture them to learn and apply advanced knowledge and skills in all areas of mathematics to solve problems in the society, industry, and other related fields of human endeavor for the betterment of human life to achieve the true potential of humanity with teamwork, enthusiasm, respect and integrity.
