Dean’s Message

The faculty of basic and applied sciences strives to build upon the successes in academic and research excellence for its graduates. An array of subject areas like Allied Health Sciences, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology provide a credible hub for higher learning in science disciplines. These diversified programs are application-oriented and are designed to produce competent graduates who can apply theories in practice. Our students are set to participate in industrial and research projects with a strong applied nature for industrial, commercial and community needs. They will be trained to think critically and analytically, thus standing them in good stead in their future professions and making them highly valued by employers.

Our faculty members are dedicated to provide a caring environment and a gateway for aspiring students to pursue lifelong learning. we will always be around to help any and all, even after graduation and beyond. The emerging Faculty in University of Kotli has enthusiastic and young faculty members with international exposure in research. The faculty has earned research grants from HEC and International Organizations for very dynamic ideas to explore and apply. Higher Education Commission has granted funds for establishing the state of art laboratories and teaching buildings for Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences. We are always focusing to organize seminars, workshops, professional trainings, conferences, symposia and webinars to educate our students and faculty members.

As shown above, the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences University of Kotli, originates with a determination and enthusiasm of pioneering staff members to create a hub for basic and applied scientific research in the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. We have also conducted various teaching experiments that target new expansion. In the future, as the importance of university research and education in the society increases, there will be a greater demand placed on universities in terms of the duty to produce numerous individuals who can contribute to society by, for example, supporting global cutting-edge research and a variety of advanced industries. The Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences will continue moving forward to be at the forefront of research and education, so that we can respond to this demand from society. We would like to ask each and every one of you for your continuing and increasing support.
