INTRODUCTION

Higher education has undergone profound transformation due to recent technological advancements. The universities are transforming into smart universities. The University of Kotli AJ&K has established the Directorate of IT in September 2017, to implement Information and communication technologies (ICT) and to transform the University into the smart institution. The Directorate of IT has many significant tasks to accomplish. Some of them are the design & deployment of the Campus Network, the development of Campus Management System & the availability of digital resources to Students, Teachers and Management. It is envisioning that the Directorate of IT will be the forte of the university & will be the state of the art centre, which will not only serve the university but will also serve the larger community outside the university.

The Directorate of IT is dedicated to develop and implement innovative, affordable, reliable, & secure technology solutions to serve the University of Kotli Azad Jammu & Kashmir as well as community outside the university
