INTRODUCTION

University of Kotli Azad jammu & Kashmir is a newly established university. Department of Economics was established two years before the establishment of University of Kotli Azad jammu & Kashmir in 2014 and evolved into a center for research and teaching. Graduate education in the department is organized around four programs: the PhD and the M.Phil program, that aims to train research scholars for careers in either academia or research. The Master and Bachelor·s degree program, more applied in nature and less oriented toward careers in academia. The BS program offered at University of Kotli Azad Jammu & Kashmir has also been systematically developed.
