Introduction

The only business school in Azad Jammu & Kashmir accredited by National Bussines Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Over the years the business school has provided students with knowledge and career oriented studies to face the shift and develop strong skills necessary for changing environments.

Business school along with its accreditation is proud to get equivalence of MBA 3.5 years program & MBA 1.5 years program. This 1.5 years and 3.5 years program is well recognized by HEC and is equivalent to MS/M.Phil 18 years of education.

The Business Administration program has been designed to prepare students for leadership roles in business and the community. The Program’s objectives are to provide students with the perceptual and analytical skills necessary in making decisions and evaluating policy in business; another is to develop student understanding of the social, economic and regulatory environment of business. The program is designed for students with a variety of career goals, including opportunities with financial institutions, manufacturing and retail firms, service industries and the public sector.

Course provides an overview of the world of business. Included is an introduction to basic business terminology, concepts, and functions featuring an analysis of marketing, finance, production, personnel management, accounting, and economics as they relate to business meeting its social responsibility of resource allocation.

Ph.D. BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES PROGRAM

Our PhD Business and Management Sciences program aims to promote research skills that will help business organizations in these globally challenging environments. Students are encouraged to apply, who have passion to challenge existing practices and have willingness to go beyond already tested and tried methods in business education. The program will cover all facets of business education and will encourage students to excel in research domain with a freedom to go beyond current business and management education horizon and develop skills that will shape the business practices for future needs. We will produce researchers with expertise in their relevant field and have attitude for conducting world class research initiatives.

 

Eligibility

  • The minimum CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the Semester System) or First Division (in the Annual System) in M.Phil./M.S. /Equivalent degree in relevant field will be required.
  • No third division throughout academic career.
  • Any other test or entry requirement as per HEC rules.

Note: The eligibility for admission will be determined by strictly following HEC rules. Candidate must meet HEC entry criteria for PhD programs in relevant field.

 

M.S. BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES PROGRAM

Our program is a research degree designed for students, who aim to pursue PhD in Business and Management Sciences. Students that have Business and Management Education background are encouraged to apply to earn a degree with focus on developing research skills to examine businesses and organizations. Students will be able to earn a degree according to Higher Education Commission laid down criteria to pursue PhD in Business and Management Sciences.

Eligibility

  • Sixteen years of schooling with minimum 2.5 CGPA (in semester system) or second division (in the Annual System) in a relevant field will be required for admission in MS Business and Management Sciences.
  • No third division throughout academic career.
  • GAT-General conducted by the National Testing Service with a minimum 50% cumulative score will be required at the time of admission to MS management.
  • Near future any test approved by HEC (Like ETS, HAT) will also be applicable for admission in MS business and management sciences program.OR
  • U-GAT conducted by university with a minimum 50% cumulative score will be required at the time of admission

Note: The eligibility for admission will be determined by strictly following HEC rules.

Candidate must meet HEC entry criteria for MS programs in relevant field.

 

MBA 2 Year Program (18 Years)

MBA 2 years’ program at University of Kotli provide students with an opportunity to integrate theory, real-world practice, and personal reflection to become innovative and principled business leaders to solve real world problems. The curriculum followed in this program is HEC approved.  One of the main features of this program is that it is well accepted in corporate world as well as in public sector of Pakistan. It is also known for teaching excellence and high academic standards with practical application in dynamic business environment. The wide range of specialization areas and project gives students an opportunity to enhance their understanding and develop managerial skills to solve challenging business problems.

Eligibility

The eligibility criterion for admission in MBA is:

  • A minimum of 16 year of education with M. Com (2 year)/MPA (2 year)/BBA (4 year)/ B. Com (4 year)/ BS Management (4 year)/ BSIT (4 year) or equivalent with second division or 2.50 CGPA on the scale of 4.00 from any institution recognized by HEC.
  • The applicant must qualify U-GAT or GAT General or any test of same level recognized or conducted by HEC certified testing service at time of admission.
  • The students enrolled in this program will have to complete minimum 60 credit hours.

MBA Executive Program

This program is aimed at enhancing skills of professionals who are unable to enhance their skills due to stringent work timings. This program aims to deliver business education with flexibility to part time/ fulltime students. The program is designed for professionals who want to excel in future life. The blend of different mid-level managers provides a unique mix facilitating learning opportunities. The program facilitates learning by sharing view, experiences and bringing teams together.   The   flexible   nature   of course structure helps professionals to cope with pressures and demands of professional life.

Eligibility

Candidates having bachelor’s degree (14 years education) with minimum 45% marks from a recognized institution having at least 3 years work experience are eligible to apply for MBA Executive admission.

 

BS ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM

The BS Entrepreneurship Program is designed to take the students through various stages of the entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial process, the end-product of which would be a functioning enterprise. The program is designed to develop thought leaders with entrepreneurial spirit that can lead to the creation of new ventures within and outside existing enterprises. After completing the program, students would have designed, launched and managed their entrepreneurial ventures through the stages of ideation, networking, experimentation, execution, breakeven, growth, and investment. Students explore each of these stages through multiple courses using the project-based learning approach. Graduates of this program will be job creators and not job-seekers and would have the experience of coming out of the comfort zone, and to practice creativity, innovation and design with real projects, real entrepreneurs, and in real-life environments

The eligibility criterion for admission in BS Entrepreneurship is F.A/F.Sc/I.Com and ICS or equivalent with at least second division from any recognized institution. Age should not be more than 22

 year on last date of reception of applications. The entry test/interview is compulsory to determine the merit.

 

BBA Program

Our BBA program is a unique combination of courses for the graduates who are seeking career in business and management or intend to start their own businesses. The business is an extremely complex and dynamic field which needs highly qualified and skillful graduates with the caliber to understand and solve the problems associated with it. This program will definitely enable the students to have a good command in relevant field. The course designed for this purpose is very challenging in its nature.

The program is of four years duration and provides solid foundation required for higher education. Additionally, a large number of professional and technical seminars are conducted where senior managers from the industry are invited to share their experiences with our students.

In order to produce graduates of well-balanced personality, general awareness of social issues and basic reasoning capabilities, students are also required to participate in seminars and workshops in addition to core and elective courses of the discipline. A six week internship program is mandatory for all the students in order to familiarize them with the real business world in multi-disciplinary operations.

Post-Graduate Diploma in Finance (1 Year, 2 Semester Program)

The program has been designed in such a way that it will benefit professionals both from public and private organizations to enhance their subject matter skills and be able to manage financial matters effectively and efficiently. The program will also be beneficial for the students who want to enhance their professional skills and to enhance their employability chances in the financial sector or to strengthen their career prospects. The program will also benefit the students who want to pursue their further education in finance.

Post-Graduate Diploma in HRM (1 Year, 2 Semester Program)

PGD in Human Resource Management has been designed for HR professionals to enhance their knowledge regarding HR best practices across the globe. The program is equally beneficial for individuals from other professional capacities i.e. doctors, engineers, business graduates and entrepreneurs running small to medium ventures. Further, the program can be beneficial for those who want to pursue further higher education in the field of Human Resource Management.

Tourism Management

The state of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is blessed with number of beautiful locations to be spot on for tourist’s attraction. The tourism is a revenue generating sector in AJ&K. Therefore, this is a substantive management program, which combines practical career-based elements will enable students to either start their own ventures in tourism or be to manage tourism related issues effectively. The course will enhance the participant’s employability prospects in hospitality industry both locally and internationally.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university/ institute in any discipline with at least 45% marks or CGPA2.00 out of 4.

Duration: 1 year (2 semesters)

Diploma in Supply Chain Management 1 year (2-semesters) Program.

Supply Chain Management will be a much wanted diploma course in coming years due to CPEC. The program will enable students to be supply chain specialist. The program will also prepare them how to deal with existing and future challenges by developing their supply chain acumen, leadership skill, professional ethics and social sense.
